Charles Cavalier Spaniels of Rock Cliff Farm was established in Rhode
Island/Florida and ultimately the gorgeous mountains of Alabama.
We
do not breed miniature and petite Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppies
ON PURPOSE. This happened with a gene combination that is very healthy
but pups are smaller than we feel is the standard. Cavaliers are predisposed
to neurological disorders like Syringohydromyelia, Fly Catchers Syndrome,
Primary Secretory Otits Malformation ( ears ) skeletal (
patellas, hips) and heart challenges. In the miniatures and petites, they
MUST stay with us until they are 12 to 24 weeks. We perform CBC, Chem Panels
and Liver Shunt tests before we sell one of our beloveds. NO children under
the age of 6 for this type of puppy is available. An extensive interview
process will take place and anyone with an agenda to breed will never be
considered. That being said, we KNOW people are lying and calling their
petite and miniatures " Pure " cavaliers but they are not. Usually these
people are BACK YARD BREEDERS not AKC Breeders of Merit like we are. To
qualify for that distinction, you must have made up many Champions, your
facilities will be inspected, along with your paperwork being in order.
There are BOGUS registries like Continental Kennel Club, APRI Americas
Pet Registry Incorporated, etc to say they are registered. Those people
are using Papillions, Dachshunds, Poodles or Chihuahuas. WALK away fast.
Cavaliers need the support of a breeder who are trying to make a difference
in the health of the breed, not because they have a buzz word, marketable
"product". Please respect that while we do have petite and miniature cavaliers,
we do NOT promote the practice.

Hussain ( husband and wife team ) - Beverly and Bethanny ( mother and daughter
) and Tracie. Terri is the passionate breeder who began hobby showing and
breeding in the late 90's in the North East and Florida in the winters.
King Charles Cavalier Spaniel Health is her top priority. Khuram is Terri's
loyal husband who cares for the dogs daily and ensures their every need
is cared for. Beverly and Bethanny have helped us for the last 6 years
caring for Terri ( who is handicapped ) and the dogs well being, paperwork
and all AKC inspection organization. Tracie is Terri's close friend and
assists with puppy socializiation and helps in the home when she can. Debbie
Dame and Terri are close friends who met showing in Florida and are both
passionate about the breed and it's direction regarding health and breed
type. I am indebted to these selfless people that make Rock Cliff Farm
function seamlessly.

When
buying ANY cavalier king charles spaniel puppy, please give it 5 weeks
to acclimate. Do NOT take your cavalier spaniel puppy on planes or extended
travel WITHOUT Nutristat, pedialyte, and 9 lives canned cat food, salmon.
This brand has salmon listed as the FIRST main ingredient, which means
when the USDA does an audit, it MUST pass. Minced real chicken in a cooler
is also good, but if left out too long can cause e-coli. Better safe then
sorry. Let the cavalier pup rest, since it is an infant. We do not let
ours go until 12-16 weeks anymore to safeguard our babies.
